Thoughts to the Movie that’ll never let me go: eXistenZ (1999)

Dear eXistenZ,

my beloved movie… You, with your weird story and disgusting scenes…

I watched you, a time when I was really sick.. I was laying on the sofa, almost sleeping and you were on TV. You know when you’re asleep, you’re able to collect information that is send to your brain way better than awake. That means while I was half asleep, the “information” you gave me burned-in… into my brain…

Now, a week later I am still dreaming of you and your little squirmy scenes and parallel world almost every day.

But in another way.. I like it… I like that world… sure it’s disgusting but hey, it’s a new exciting, interesting world. The one big Problem is: It feels so real and good that you/I may suffer from loss of reality…

If you may leave me alone now?
